Denis Ackah-Yensu is a Managing Director of Axum.  Mr. Ackah-Yensu has been involved in all aspects of the firm’s development since its inception.  His experience includes middle-market private equity investing, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance.  Prior to co-founding Axum, Mr. Ackah-Yensu worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at McColl Partners, a middle-market investment bank founded by the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of America, Hugh McColl, Jr.  At McColl Partners, he executed a wide range of transactions across multiple sectors.

Previously, he identified and executed middle-market private equity investments for Kamylon Capital and Summer Street Capital Partners.  Mr. Ackah-Yensu began his career in investment banking at Citigroup, Inc., where he worked with large-capitalization companies to execute mergers and acquisitions and capital-raising transactions, including some of the largest transactions in U.S. history.  Mr. Ackah-Yensu received a BBA in Finance with honors from Pace University.  He has participated in a variety of transactions across several industries, including business and consumer services, telecommunication, food and beverage, and diversified manufacturing sectors.
